We are presently working on long term creative arts projects throughout the Spring Term in the following schools:

Stanton Bridge Primary, Coventry – A project based on India with Year 2 and a project on the Rainforests with Year 3.
Our Lady’s, Princethorpe – The history and fight against Apartheid with KS2.
Bidford-on-Avon Primary – Indian Dance including Bhangra and Dhandia Raas.
Southam Primary – Aboriginal dance and music with Year 2.
Woodlands Special School – A project on India

IN2CULTURES has also supported the West Nuneaton Schools Cluster Festival, working in Park Lane Primary on African Drumming and Indian/African art projects.

After School Workshops

The African drumming workshops will be continuing at:
Emscote Infant School – Thursdays at 3pm

Bridgetown Primary School – Saturdays at 11am

We are also pleased to be starting African Drumming workshops after school at Woodlands School, Coleshill and Park Lane School in Nuneaton.

Bhangra dance and Dhol classes take place at Sydenham Primary School during term time only. Adults and children welcome.
Every Tuesday 5.30 – 6pm Dhol drumming 6.00 – 7pm Bhangra dance

In the future…

IN2CULTURES are looking forward to their work in Shrubland Street Primary School, Leamington Spa, supporting their multicultural topic work on Africa and Asia in the summer term.

We are also delighted to be returning to see our friends at Our Lady’s, Princethorpe. During the summer term, we will be working on a project about the Rainforests.

At Bridgetown Primary, Stratford, we’ll be teaching several sessions on Indian Bhangra dancing and at Glendale Infants, Nuneaton in June, IN2CULTURES will be covering projects on Aboriginal Australia, Africa and India to support the school’s work on the Olympics.

There are also planned return visits to Elmley Castle First School in Worcestershire and Emscote Infants, Warwick. We look forward to them all.

Songs of Praise 50 years celebration

Liz was delighted to join one of the choirs leading the congregation of 7,000 at the 50th Anniversary celebration of Songs of Praise recorded at Alexandra Palace on Sunday 25th September 2011, to be televised on Sunday 2nd October 2011. Intercultural Performing Arts Festivals in 2012

Schools will be delighted to learn that IN2CULTURES will be taking on the Schools Intercultural Performing Arts Festivals in 2012. From this year, each one will be known as a Multicultural Youth Showcase and will give young people from schools and community groups the chance to perform on a professional stage.
Dates for your diary:

Friday June 22nd – Southern Area Festival at the Stratford Civic Hall.
Thursday June 28th – Central Area Festival at the Royal Spa Centre.
Friday July 6th – Combined Northern/Eastern Area Festival at the Bedworth Civic Hall.

Our thanks to the Manager of the Bedworth Civic Hall for making the Northern/Eastern Area Festival possible.
